2. It Puts Yourself in Your Client's Shoes You don't realize how much of a blessing a good, kind, thoughtful photographer is until you're the one fidgeting awkwardly in front of the camera not knowing where to place your hands, or turn your head, or place your eyes...! It REALLY helps to have a photographer who makes you feel welcome and beautiful from the beginning. When you're the client, you begin to appreciate so much more the little things that create a good client experience - the hugs, personal conversation, those client gifts that make them feel even more appreciated...it all plays a part in their experience.
3. You Learn From It When you give camera control over to someone else, it's a big deal. But, no matter how your experience turns out remember to use it as a growth opportunity. What did you like about your session? Not like about it? What are the things that you noticed that you can implement in your own business to better your clients' experiences? It could be as simple as they asked you about your life instead of talking about theirs, or it could be bigger (maybe they didn't communicate very well with you during the process). Whatever it is, you can grow from it. Photo by Nicole Marie Photography
